REBOOT at Script Fiesta: Reflecting on Competitiveness and Public Policy in Film
In March 2025, the REBOOT Polish team participated in the Script Fiesta festival at the Warsaw Film School, where a workshop titled “Competitiveness in the European Film Market: 20th Anniversary of the Polish Film Institute” brought together producers, researchers, and students for a dynamic exchange of ideas.
Chaired by Prof. Alicja Waszkiewicz-Raviv, the session welcomed acclaimed film producers Agnieszka Dziedzic (Koi Studio, Polish Producers Guild) and Agata Terpiał (One3 Studio), alongside REBOOT researchers Dr. Anita Zawisza and Dr. Jacek Mikucki. Together, they explored the evolving role of public institutions in shaping film policy, with a focus on competitiveness, funding frameworks, and the future of European cinema.
The event also highlighted the contributions of emerging talents from the Warsaw Film School, with a photo report prepared by students Joanna Godun and Marianna Watras from WDIB.
This workshop marked a key moment for REBOOT’s engagement with local industry stakeholders and reaffirmed the importance of public dialogue in shaping inclusive and sustainable film governance.
